Mary Choi

Mary Choi, LICSW, LCSW-C, (she/her/hers) is an educator, consultant, clinician, and healer. She has experience working in a variety of community-based settings and currently has a private practice in the Washington, D.C/Maryland metro area. In her clinical work, Mary incorporates a variety of psychodynamic, somatic, and spiritual approaches with a focus on the areas of trauma, attachment, consciousness, race, and culture. She is passionate about radical, community-based change, and in addition to being a clinician, currently works within BIPOC and community minded spaces that center around healing through the collective and working towards the liberation of BIPOC minds, bodies, and spirits. Mary provides workshops and consultation on race equity, racial justice, and social justice and holds healing spaces for BIPOC and white bodied individuals and therapists seeking to undo the harmful effects of racism and colonization. She believes in the power of communal healing, in the honoring and reclamation of ancestral ways, and in the possibility of transformational shifts in the smaller and greater worlds in which we live and breathe. Mary is a current faculty member and consultant at the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute.
